The video below features a guided meditation celebrating the miracle of being alive through a journey of the five senses.
Our five senses are a gateway to mindfulness: simple reminders that we have a precious human life and when we connect with these gifts, we experience peace and deep gratitude for the life flowing through us.
Practice this technique any time and each time you’ll get a different experience.

Truly, every second you’re alive, miracles are transpiring.
For every horrific sight, unkind word, foul odor, pin and needle, and bad taste left in your mouth, you’re invited to witness these miracles.
For every time you want to overt eyes, cover your ears or hold your nose, they are there waiting for you to catch.
Every time you hear something unpleasant, simply marvel at your ear’s sweet gift of hearing.
Every time you see something upsetting or is not to your liking, it’s time to acknowledge your eyes and the ability of sight they gift you.
Every time you smell something that is even slightly off-putting, take it as a reminder to honor your nose and its ability to smell.
Every time you have a bad taste in your mouth, your taste buds are asking you for some adoration.
Every time you have minor aches and pains, see it as a chance to thank the miracle that is your body and its extraordinary ability to communicate your feelings to you.
Each moment is indeed an invitation sent out by your senses to snatch up and accept these miracles.
By extension, every sign of appreciation for your five senses becomes an invitation to remember what it feels like to simply be alive.
When that happens you begin to witness miracles and at that moment all suffering vanishes.
