This Largely Unknown Quote Embodies The Wisdom Of Gratitude
Anthony V. Lombardo
With every year that winds down, a time of reflection is born. The spirit of gratitude becomes more vibrant than ever as we jump into the holiday season at the end of November.
Staying with this spirit of gratitude and self-reflection, I want to share a quote I came across credited to business coach Dale Dauten:
As I think about the past year and my family and friends, this piece of wisdom hits me hard—especially when I think of both my parents who are getting up there in age.
This quote is an incredible reminder for all of us—especially as the calendar is set to turn to a new year and we celebrate the holidays, spending time with family and friends.
A while back, I wrote about how life is beautiful and can be a wonderful, magical mystery tour. But it also can be one helluva bumpy ride that knocks us off our path and into the gutter. Then there’s the hard reality that we are up against the immoveable of all immoveable forces known as TIME.
So while we can’t stop the clock from ticking, change the past, or predict the future, we can do something else.
