Vishen 2020: 25 Reasons Why Vishen Lakhiani Would Have My Vote For U.S. President

With the U.S. election just around the corner, the current state of politics has been weighing heavily on my mind.

One Sunday morning after watching the last presidential debate on my DVR, I started to ponder who I feel would make an excellent leader of the U.S.

Also, on this very same morning, I was thinking about possible ideas for my next piece of content to create.

But I was struggling to come up with anything.

Then about an hour later I was in the shower, and the idea for this article popped into my head.

A few days later I received an email from Mindvalley with the subject line: “The idea-generating bathtub”…

And then the first sentence read: “Have you ever noticed sometimes your best ideas come in the shower?”

After reading that email and watching that video, I was motivated to act quickly and write this article, especially with the election just a few days away.

As a Mindvalley student (and self-admitted Vishen fanboy), the goal of this post is to have some fun by imagining how things would be in the U.S. if Vishen was president.

Many of the points on this list will likely only make sense to you if you are familiar with Mindvalley and Vishen’s work.

Much of this article is meant to be light-hearted and be said tongue and cheek. I know politics in the U.S. is a touchy, divisive subject, so by no means am I seeking to incite a debate.

The aim here is to have some fun, connect with other Mindvalley fans, and show Vishen some love for all the inspiration he has given me.

And maybe by showcasing some of his powerful ideas, it can inspire someone who may not be familiar with him.

Just a note, the list is in descending order—the points become more compelling as you go down.

Also, I included some links to Mindvalley resources that further illustrate some of these points and ideas and where you can learn more.

Here goes.

1. The word “Unfuckwithable” would officially be entered into the English language. Who doesn’t want more ways to say “fuck”? 😇
2. Practices and rituals such as blissipline, gratitude, and loving-kindness will be as common as singing the national anthem or reciting the pledge of allegiance.
3. The Lifebook program and the mindset of having a 360 degree live view would be taught in every university throughout the country. Every citizen would be required to create a Lifebook and constantly update it throughout the different phases of their life which will serve as their ongoing playbook for the vision of their life.
4. Every citizen’s top focus will be their personal growth and transforming into the next greatest iteration of themselves to help others and the larger world.
5. As a nation dedicated to transformation, the government will adhere to the 50/50 Rule by setting big, bold audacious goals in which half of them have a 50% chance of failure to ensure we are pushing ourselves as a nation to create the best possible future for all of humanity.
   
6. Mind-body healing will become mainstream and get the recognition it deserves as a credible and viable form of healing.
7. Coca-Cola as a company, yikes! All I can say it was nice knowing ya! All crap-tastic products beware! [link]
8. Doing what you love to do, connecting with your passion, and finding your purpose will replace the current model of go to college, get a safe job, and save for retirement.
   
9. Personal development will go pop. The real rock-stars and mover and shakers will no longer be reality stars, celebrities, and athletes but rather teachers, authors, heart-centered entrepreneurs, philosophers, life coaches, activists, mystics, sages, etc.
   
10. Meditation will become a mandatory skill and training all citizens must learn and practice from a young age. Just like math, science, and gym class, meditation will be part of young school children’s curriculum. Kindergarten kids doing the 6-Phase, what a sight to behold. 
11. School children can also look forward to certain Mindvalley quests making their way into the curriculum such as 7 Days To Breaking Up With Sugar, Money EQ, and Super Reading. I can hear it now, the glorious sound of an American child saying “Arigato money out” while buying their favorite candy bar at the corner bodega.
    
12. And why should only kids have all the fun with Mindvalley quests, how about mandatory enrollment and completion of Conscious Parenting for all parents and Conscious Uncoupling for all marital partners considering separating? Divorce attorneys will never be the same.
13. Every citizen by the time they reach their 20s will be required to create a 3-Most Important Question sheet and like Lifebook, constantly be refining it as they go through life.
14. On the same note, the education system will no longer ask children “what do you want to be when you grow up” and instead ask them “what beautiful human experiences do you want, in what way do you want to grow to have such experiences, and ultimately how do you want to contribute to humanity?
15. Bending reality as an art form will be taught in schools and universities and become commonplace in both the public and private sectors. Could you imagine Senators and representatives of Congress doing the “3-2-1” method to decide whether a bill should be passed or not? Epic!
16. The modern-day business person and professional will aim to cultivate Jedi-like abilities which will be the most important skills for achieving extraordinary performance that most companies will look for in employees. In addition to bending reality these abilities will entail: intuition, purposefully living, unity consciousness, stepping beyond the culturescape, accessing altered states of consciousness, and magnifying health and longevity.
17. Free forgiveness training for all! There will be forgiveness labs all across the country in which every citizen can visit to practice radical forgiveness, 40 years of zen style.
18. We will make a major dent in the self-esteem epidemic that affects all of humanity. The words “I AM ENOUGH” will become the mantra for every child.
19. The word “united” in the United States would not only literally mean national unity but the country would embrace planetary connectedness and oneness.
    
20. All people regardless of race, religion, color, sexuality, and what country they live in will be regarded as fellow citizens of planet earth belonging to one race – the human race.
21. Taking #7 one step further, an Earth flag will be created to represent the entire planet and all of humanity. The flags we raise proudly and that our athletes and astronauts wear are not that of our country but one that represents the entire planet Earth. 
22. Models of reality and bullshit rules that have long passed their expiration date like ________, ________, and _________  will finally be put out of their misery. Fill in those blanks with the brules of your choosing!
    
23. Any ideas that keep us from growing in consciousness as a species will be continually knocked down by widespread advocacy of ideas such as unity, compassionate capitalism, sustainability, and the green movement.
24. Since Vishen knows many of the best teachers, thought leaders, and authors on the planet, as president when a problem needs solving or a new initiative needs to be started he will be able to seek counsel and guidance from a calvary of the world’s most brilliant minds. The country will have the most extraordinary minds in the most critical leadership roles. Srikumar Rao for Vice President, anyone? How about Jim Kwik as Secretary of Education?
25. The bottom line and the most compelling reason is that education and the consciousness of the nation would be elevated!
    

    Consider for a moment what defines a country’s political landscape?

    If you think about it, a nation’s politics is merely a reflection of its education and consciousness. With that being said, since Mindvalley is an education company whose mission statement is to raise human consciousness, the U.S. could expect a radical shakeup in education and a massive elevation in the collective consciousness not only nationally but globally.

    Today in America, the political landscape has become about tapping into the fear-based aspects of our brain to divide us so that votes can be had and certain agendas can be served.

    However, when the collective consciousness is raised, we no longer concern ourselves with the nonsense that wastes time, energy, and money like building walls and instead start tackling the real threats to our world, such as global warming, ill health, infectious disease, deforestation, cyberterrorism, poverty, etc.
