New Audio Experience: Awaken Your Soul and Remember Who You Are
“Instead of worrying about what you cannot control, shift your energy to what you can create.”
― Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart
This quote exemplifies the idea that we are all CREATORS and we are creating every day.
However, it always surprises how many people I come across who say they don’t consider themselves “creative” or the “creative type” because they believe they aren’t “artsy” enough.
But being creative has nothing to do with being ‘artistic’.
Many of us confuse these two ideas — believing we need to paint pictures, play an instrument, write a novel, or be proficient in any other activity related to the field of the “arts” in order to consider ourselves “creative.”
But “creating” is more than just producing something tangible, and physical. That’s just one of the many ways we create.
One morning ritual I have is to affirm that I am a conscious creator. I set the intention that I want to become so conscious of the person I want to be and how I want to experience the day ahead to remind myself that I am indeed the creator of my life.
It has become like a personal mantra I adopted because I believe in everything we are doing, we are creating!
I do this not because it has anything to do with any type of artistic endeavor I am on, but rather because I believe one of the most important things to fully grasp in life is that:
You are the creator of your life.
But more fittingly said, you are the CREATOR of the way you EXPERIENCE life.
Once I fully latched onto this idea, my whole attitude on how I show up every day in life shifted.
It indeed changed the way I experience this physical 3D reality known as life.
Moment by moment we are creating our experience with the thoughts we think and the emotions we feel…
With the energy we send out…
With the vibration we are surrounded by…
In the ways we behave and the words we say.
Every second our bodies are creating new cells, mutating DNA, growing new hair, and doing countless other “creative” processes to keep us alive and experiencing more.
It’s literally in our biology to CREATE!
Instead of seeing creativity as something you are, begin seeing it as something you do… every day.
And that “something you do” first and foremost starts with how you show up every day through the experiences you are creating and the person you are being.
Because remember who you are being is a result of your own handiwork — a creation of your own making.
And the essence of being a “creator” is self-expression… tapping into the unique flavor that makes you who you are and what emanates from your heart and soul.
It’s about fully participating in life by engaging in ways that are exciting, meaningful, interesting, natural, joyful, or fulfilling.
Just like when we were children, think back to how free and excited you were as a child playing.
You probably woke up every day full of energy and joy to create, whether it was playing with your toys, coming up with whacky games to play, being silly with other kids, or just aimlessly dancing around the house.
You were creating every day.
You were living with intention. Present. Free. Unrestrained in your experience.
And this is still who you are. That zest to create is inside you.
So, set the intention to bring this creative attitude and this type of energy as you go about each day.
Especially on the crappy ones, when you wake up not feeling great, not wanting to get out of bed, or when your day is filled with stress because things aren’t going as planned.
Sometimes the best way to get yourself out of any states of anxiety, frustration, or sadness as the quote from earlier mentioned is to focus your energy on CREATING instead of what you can’t control.
So, remember always be creating!
Your heart and soul yearn for you to build, make, develop, construct, or design something.
Small, big, simple, complex, and everything in between.
