Despite popular belief, manifestation is not a mental exercise for wishing things into your life.
Nor is it a woo-woo game of magical accumulation and accomplishment. This is where many get tripped up or turned off by the whole idea of conscious manifestation. However, what most don’t realize is that manifestation is about personal unfoldment and expansion.
More specifically, it’s about: Expanding. Your. Capacity. To. Receive.
But what does that even mean?
I know it may sound like more pretentious woo-woo speak, but bear with me.
Imagine your life as a magnificent container brimming with your infinite potential. However, the grander your dreams and the richer the experiences you desire, the larger your container must become.
We may say we want a more exciting career, a hot and steamy love relationship, or financial independence to manifest in our lives, but are we truly open, receptive, and willing to allow these things to unfold? Are we ready and capable to make space for what we desire the most?
This metaphorical container is really your psycho-spiritual-emotional threshold which ultimately governs the extent to which you embrace new and unfamiliar opportunities and experiences in your life. Functioning mostly at a subconscious level, it establishes the boundaries that shape your reality and influences your receptiveness to growth and transformation.
If we want more love in our lives, we must expand our capacity to receive love. If we want a more fulfilling career, we ourselves must expand our capacity to experience more fulfillment in our work. If we desire more money, we must enlarge our financial container and increase our ability to allow more money into our lives.
Even if we simply seek to be recognized for our work or expertise by our colleagues and peers or appreciated as a good friend, partner, or boss, we must consider stretching ourselves and expanding our capacity to embody the qualities and actions that align with such recognition and appreciation. Or at the very least, we can broaden our assumptions and beliefs about what those qualities and actions might be.
To manifest anything new, exciting, and beyond our current life paradigm, we must be willing to venture beyond the familiar confines of our comfy container. There’s no way around it. If you want to receive something big in life, you yourself must become bigger. It requires us to step out of our comfort zone and think differently. It forces us to change how we feel and move past the judgments of ourselves, others, and the world around us.
The beauty of this realization is that you don’t have to look far to initiate this transformative shift. You are already intimately familiar with all the patterns of resistance that keep showing up in your life. You know all the people, places, and things you habitually avoid but can never truly escape. These are the very elements that hold the key to facilitating transformation and ushering in tremendous opportunities in your life.
Indeed, it can be intimidating and downright scary to go beyond our comfort zone and go through this process. However, when you courageously expand your capacity to receive, you allow all the incredible things you wish to manifest in your life to flow into your reality with less friction and strife. You dismantle the walls of resistance and forge pathways to fresh opportunities. Because as you expand, your whole world expands along with you. This is the whole game of manifesting in a nutshell. It’s less about trying to make something happen and more about allowing something to happen.
It’s nothing sexy, magical, or complicated. We go inward and shift our internal world. Here are some suggestions
