Many goal-setting gurus will tell you to give your goals a deadline. However, strict timelines may create unnecessary stress and hinder the natural timing of events. Impatience messes with your energy and can undermine the manifestation process. Understand that the Universe (and life) operates on its own schedule, and some things take time to unfold. Embrace patience and remain receptive to the perfect timing for your desired outcome.

Mistake #4: Insisting on where it will happen.

This might not be as common as the others on this list, but just like you don’t want to insist on when your desire will happen, you don’t want to tie it to a specific location or setting. You want to remember that life’s most extraordinary moments often unfold in unexpected places. For example, if you are trying to manifest a dream vacation in a specific location or land your dream job at a specific company, you might be placing too many demands on the Universe. Keep an open mind, allowing your desire to bloom wherever the cosmic winds take them.

  1. Know what you really want by focusing on the universal things we all want: joy, love, friendship, adventure, health, fulfillment, creative expression, purpose, etc.
